Professor Kazuo Sugiyama
Kazuo Sugiyama received B.Eng (1966) , M.Eng(1969) from Chiba University and D.Eng (1987) from Tokyo University, Japan. He was a Professor of Graduate School of Science and Technology, Chiba University, Japan, a Professor of Graduate School of Dongseo University, Korea and a professor of Shibaura Institute of Technology Japan before undertaking a position of director of Sugiyama Institute of Design at Oriental Consultants Co., Ltd. Japan. He has participated in the design of many major bridges in Japan and his winning of international bridge competition of Young-Jong Bridge in Korea in 1991 has brought him many opportunities to design of bridges in Korea too.
Luh, Ding-Bang received his Ph.D. in Design from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA. He is a Distinguished Professor, School of Art and Design, Guangdong University of Technology, China. His prior experiences include Chair Professor and Dean, College of Creative Design, Asia University, and Distinguished Professor, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He established Taiwan's first postgraduate program on cultural and creative industries in 2006 and established International Journal of Cultural and Creative Industriesin 2013, the first journal in Asia and the second in the world in this category. In 2014, he invented "Mirror Theory" for strategic innovations. In 2015, hewas elected as President of Chinese Institute of Design. In 2017, he received the title of National "Thousand Talents Plan" Experts in Art and Culture category. His major research interests include: design management, creative and cultural industries, service innovation, strategic thinking, among others.
